The school and courses are wonderful.
This review is strictly in regards to the Financial aid department.
Very unhelpful, unknowledgeable, uneducated and unmotivated. They have no clue what they are talking about and if you do not dedicate and research your own funds do not expect them to, It is your job to secure your funds! make sure you are applying that pressure! Extremely disappointed in the service provided and do not see the point of their roles, this department should be eliminated, when my STUDENT advisor has been the person helping me through my entire journey.

The Ybor campus is lively, diverse, and welcoming. It's in the heart of historic Ybor surrounded by humble brick walls, colorful murals, and most apparent of all, the rowdy roosters; just simply walking to class brought me joy. Students were passionate about events, I constantly saw flyers promoting the activities they were hosting. Some examples were: mental health workshops, a play adaptation of The Odyssey, career fairs, and fashion and talent shows. The community was charming and lovely. It consisted of mostly Black students and though I am Asian, everyone was inviting, kind, and friendly; they never made me once feel like an outcast.
There's not much I would change about that campus. Ybor HCC has an immensely strong sense of community and inspired me to become a better student and person.

I've been attending Hillsborough Community College since the Spring of 2024. I enjoy having many options for attending school and the wide variety of programs that the College offers,
I'm going for my Paralegal Associates Degree. I've been to other schools before but I like how Hillsborough Community College has made it so convenient to attend school remotely. It's easy to access my classes online and they also offer hybrid classes.
My professors have been knowledgeable and have went through the course material with us students thoroughly. I recommend HCC for any freshman, transfer students, or returning College students that have been out of the school scene for awhile, Hillsborough Community College provides the flexibility needed to finish your career and work or take care of your family.
