#258 Trying to figure out what is happening. I try & click on the link here, for the V1.15zip & I get warnings & my computer will not let me go any further. Tried looking on web sites that have ANYTONE updates & this FW update is not listed anywhere. Wouzun doesn’t even have it on their site. They still list 1.14 ???? #260 I'm reading the release notes and cannot find any reference for this firmware supporting my AT-D578UViii Pro model. It does list the ATD578UVii. If I've missed that mention, please let us all know if we can use this latest release. |

#261 I hope someone can help. I have the Part 90 dual band version, and the Anytone naming is always confusing. Which one would I use? Thanks |

#262 Steve, What does the sticker on the box actually say? AT-D578UVPRO or Plus? Also, the actual type is configurable in CPS called "Modes", which select TX & RX settings, like US Amateur (which gives you the 220 MHz band), Commercial (no 220), etc. There is also the coveted "secret" mode 14, which can also be useful, but you need to find the password for setting it. #263 Hi Joe, Its the UVPro. It'd make sense that the UViii is the tri-band, not sure what the plus would be. I'm just looking for a reliable source for the UVPro updates. I need the Part 90 for EmComms, but since I bought it, seems that it's been left in the cold for updates. Thanks for your help 73 |

#264 All these model numbers for tonal shades of this radio make it a real pain to track. I have a Pro... The box saysAT-D578UVIII PRO AT-D578UVIII PRO, When you go to get the latest CPS you have to be careful or you will end up pulling down one of theAT-D578UVIII versions. And the CPS rev for the Pro is not real clear. Still a good radio, just kind of a pain to keep straight. toggle quoted messageShow quoted text On Wed, Dec 1, 2021 at 8:22 PM Steve Nissen K8YIP <snissen@...> wrote: Hi Joe, Its the UVPro. #265 It is definitely confusing. The case of the "i"'s appears to be important. AT-D578UV are the UViii BASIC and UViii PRO. The PLUS comes in a colored box rather than plain cardboard, and has a silver border to the screen. |

#266 Sorry to burst Ron's bubble. I've purchased three of the AT-D578UViii Pro radios. Two came in green printed boxes while my third one was in plain cardboard. I guess we'll have to read the model info right on the radio since we can't go bu the color of the box. All three were purchased from different sellers. His other info matches what little I know. My "Pro" models are DMR and analog FM. Comparing the spec sheets, it looks like the "Plus" model just added analog AM which is labeled Aircraft listening. Tad Danley #267 I have the Plus model, which also includes TX/RX at low power in the 222 MHz band. I have not opened the box yet so I can't confirm the 222 MHz capability. Tad Danley, K3TD On 12/2/2021 8:41 AM, Tim Fairbairn wrote: toggle quoted messageShow quoted text

#268 My UV iii Pro came in a plain cardboard box as well. Steve --> What does yours say on the power up screen? You can also look in the Settings menu and see the versions there. Attaching my power up screen... toggle quoted messageShow quoted text

#269 it is "confusing" to say the least. For instance, does it apply to AT-D578UVIII PLUS? the model at the top of this thread has D578UVII PLUS. III or II? thanks, G |

#271 Ha yeah I guess there are as many different boxing versions as there are distributors. At least from Connect Systems the PLUS comes in the colored box (mine is blue!). The BASIC (and its replacement) came in a plain brown Anytone box. Anytone cannot even be self-consistent with the names of the AT-D578UV versions. For start up screens those can be changed with the CPS. Pretty much any square image will do. |
