Can civilians buy NEX gift cards? ›

You can purchase and redeem NEX gift cards at any Navy Exchange location worldwide. Anyone may purchase a Navy Exchange Gift Card, as long as it is redeemed by an authorized patron.

A return without a receipt will be issued on an NEX Gift Card at the item's current NEX price. Refunds made without a receipt can only be made at the NEX's Customer Service desk.

Simply download my NEXrewards mobile application (app) from the App Store (for iOS mobile devices) or Google Play Store (for Android mobile devices) and register with a one-time-password (OTP) for verification. Click here on how to use the Promo Code within my NEXrewards app.

Once enrolled in the NEXt Level Rewards program, customers will receive a $5 rebate for every 250 points earned monthly on all qualifying purchases. Customers receive one point for every dollar spent. Rebates are sent to members in the form of a NEX e-gift card.

To access the NEX online store for shopping, DoD and Coast Guard civilian employees will need to sign up for an account at myNavyExchange.com using their DoD ID or last four digits of their social security number and birthdate.

In many cases, bank or credit card statements can be used as proof of purchase. They detail where and when the purchase was made and can be especially helpful if a receipt has been lost. They may not be accepted everywhere, so it's good to check with the store or company.

With faulty goods, you simply need to prove purchase. This could be the receipt, but any other legitimate record – such as a bank statement – should be fine.

Does a refund have to go back on the same card? No, some merchants will claim it does, but the credit card companies don't care. Many stores now you don't even need the card to get a refund, when they scan the receipt, it automatically goes back to the original card that was used.

Can I use military star at NEX? ›

Customers who use their MILITARY Star Card at a NEX gas pump will receive five cents off per gallon on their purchase. The discount is available at nearly 70 NEX gas stations in the continental United States and Hawaii.
